Montblanc Great Characters Walt Disney

When cartoonist Walt Disney collaborated with Ub Iwerks to create and animate a mouse steering a steamboat, no one anticipated how it would change the animation industry, create fantastical worlds, and inspire millions of children (and children at heart) for many years to come. Almost a century after the birth of Mickey Mouse, Disney has become a household name synonymous with fantastic fairy tales and immersive theme parks, allowing everyone to enjoy flights of fancy every once in a while. 

In honor of the man’s visual creativity and pioneering spirit, Montblanc released the Great Characters Limited Edition Walt Disney fountain pen inspired by the Disneyland Park monorail, which was the “first daily operating monorail in the Western Hemisphere.” The clip is reminiscent of the Steamboat Willie smokestack, while touches of black, yellow, and red refer to Mickey Mouse’s color palette. The face of the most famous mouse in the world is also engraved on its rhodium-plated gold nib.
