The artisans of the Kokkokai collective interpreted the calmness of a quiet stream on the Namiki Aya Seiryu, utilising the Togidashi Maki-e (burnished Maki-e) technique and Raden (mother-of-pearl inlay) to produce interesting visual textures.
“Aya” loosely translates as “beautiful color” or “shine”, and is the name of a collection of four fountain pens interpreting “irodori”, or a world of rich color, in different ways. “Seiryu” is one of the four releases, which is also the Japanese term for a limpid stream.
We have for sale a brand-new Namiki Aya Seiryu (Limpid Stream) fountain pen with a No. 30, 18-karat gold nib in FM. It comes complete with its box, papers, and other inclusions.
