Namiki Yukari Zodiac Rabbit

The fourth animal in the 12-year Chinese zodiac cycle, the rabbit is considered a symbol of adaptability and courteousness. Those born during its lunar year are said to dislike conflict, which is why they are masters at finding a mutually beneficial common ground between two parties. Rabbits enjoy being creative and exploring new things, but they can also be overly cautious. Finding a balance between both can lead to an interesting and exciting life. 

Namiki features this fluffy creature in one of 12 rare fountain pen designs of the Yukari Zodiac Collection. Traditional maki-e techniques were used to depict two rabbits beneath pine branches against a polished black background sprinkled with gold powder. This flat-ended pen has gold-plated trims and a #10, two-toned, 18-karat gold nib carved with the peak of Mount Fuji.
