The Bronze Age was the period when humans first used metal. This was not a simultaneous occurrence, as some regions went into it before others: for example, the Bronze Age began in China and Greece in 3000 BCE, while Britain followed in 1900 BCE. In its earliest years, stone and copper were primarily used—the latter in small quantities—for precious objects. This later  became true bronze (a mix of copper and tin) that progressed to the creation of the wheel and the plough. The Bronze Age would end at the beginning of the Iron Age, but it was an era that advanced both agriculture and hunting, and saw the creation of complex societies.

Inspired by both stone and metal is the Visconti Homo Sapiens Bronze Age fountain pen. With a barrel made from basaltic lava from Mount Etna and bronze trims, this pen is both understated and elegant, and a perfect addition to any collection.

We have for sale a brand new Viscoti Homo Sapiens Bronze Age fountain pen with an 18-karat gold nib in F. It comes complete with its box, papers, and other inserts.
