Vincent Van Gogh loved looking at blossoms against a clear, blue sky, and in his work “Almond in Blossom”, he took cues from how flora was depicted in Japanese woodblock prints. As almond trees flowered in early spring and symbolized new life, Van Gogh gifted the painting to his brother Theo and his sister-in-law Jo, who had given birth to a son, whom they named after the artist.
It was this painting’s palette that inspired the Visconti Vincent Van Gogh Almond in Blossom fountain pen. We have a brand-new unit for sale that comes with its box, papers, and other inclusions.
