“Wheatfield under Thunderclouds” is one of the many paintings of Auvers Vincent van Gogh made during the last weeks of his life. It was an effort to express the grandeur of the scenery in a simple composition of two planes, as if to contain his overwhelming emotions in the calm of what he saw.
This work of art is the inspiration for the Visconti Van Gogh Wheatfield under Thunderclouds fountain pen. Its resin body features shades of blue, white, and green. It carries a steel nib and Visconti’s magnetic cap mechanism.
